FAQ's
What happens in case of inclement weather?The DPSC will post on the web site if the games or Developmental Training Sessions are cancelled for inclement weather or poor field conditions. Normally an hour prior to our first game or session. We will also change the voice message on our DPSC Hotline @ 254-6506. Division Coordinators are also contacted in order to advise Coaches. Check with your Developmental Coordinator as some will provide cancellation information for their group. How do I prepare my child for game day with proper uniform?
Where are the games played?All games for Flyweight and PeeWee are played @ the Homer Ave Soccer Field. Bantam U8 are played @ Homer with some light local travel. U9 Bantam games are played @ Fireman's field with some local travel. What time are the games?Games are played on Sundays, schedule times vary each week. Games can begin @ 9am and normally run on the hour until 3pm for our Flyweights, PeeWee & Bantam U8. Bantam U9 games are played on Saturdays. When & Where are practices?Practice times are based on your volunteer coach schedule and player availability. Practices are held at the Homer Ave Fields for all Flyweight, PeeWee and Bantam teams. Does the club provide any training?The DPSC provides training with Coastal Soccer for age groups U6-U9 in the form of clinics and training sessions. Do you still in need coaches or volunteers?The club is always looking for help in all areas. You can sign up under your account and choose what area you can help the best. Please contact intramuraldirector@deerparksoccer.com or call 631-254-6506 to volunteer ASAP. Why am I not receiving emails from the club?The DPSC sends emails based on the information entered when your individual account was built. General emails will go to all email addresses for each account email, individual program emails go to the email address entered for that registrant. If no email it will default to account owner email. The emails are sent as @deerparksoccer.com please verify that they are not being blocked or sent to spam. Is Registration still open?Our early online registration period begins in May, followed by our our regular online regstration in June and then our late online registration ending on July 31st. All registrations after that date will go on a waitlist and will be placed on a team based on availability. Please note that an account must be created and a waitlisted order must be placed with a confirmation number received to be placed on the wait list. What is the proper age group for my child?Soccer age groups are currently established by age, with August 1, 2009 through July 31st. 2010 as the current age grouping. For instance, children born between August 1, 2000 and July 31, 2001 are in the U9 age group. What equipment do I need?The league provides uniforms; players are required to have shin guards, cleats and a ball for practice. U4-U7 a #3 ball. U8 &U9 a #4 ball.
