The Predators went into an important game against Little Neck who has been unbeaten in at least the last three seasons. The Predators also were going into this game with 2/3 of their starting midfield (Brian Duarte and Sammy Ahmed) sidelined on crutches for the remainder of the season. The Predator offense came out with purpose and intensity. Carrying the weight on their shoulders were Foster Abrue and newcomer to the team this season Andrew Albertelli, who teamed up to score both of the teams goals. The Predators scored first as they have in each of their games this season, and surprisingly went into the half up 1-0. Little Neck took control early in the second half and the Predators back four were tested with all they could handle. The 85 degree day combined with the shortened bench were beginning to take their toll on the boys and their fatigue was apparent. In the 61st minute the Little Neck Knights finally got their equalizing goal. The Predators reorganized and kept on playing aggressive soccer which paid off in the 67th minute when Foster drove in on the right wing which he had been doing all day, however instead of going in on goal he smartly cut it back and laid off a pass to Andrew who was at the top of the box. Without hesitation Andrew took the shot and the ball found its way inside the back post to put the Predators up 2-1 with minutes to play. Unfortunately the Predators would give up an equalizer in the 71st minute during extra time the official deemed necessary. The Predators all played their hearts out against what has been the best team in their division the last 3 seasons. Every member gave 110% on this day!
