The Rangers continued their winning ways with a 6-2 victory. A game that was closer than the score line suggests. Nick Glancy started the game in goal not having to make too many saves, however the few shots he did parry tested every ounce of his ability.
Frankie Theroux opened the scoring in the 12th minute driving in from the left back position with his superior speed to finish and put the Rangers up 1-0. The only other goal the Rangers earned in the first half was on a PK for a handled ball in the box. Brendan McGuire who doesn’t get to many shots on goal due to his dedication to his defensive position was given the opportunity to take the PK, and coolly converted.
The rangers opened the second half with 2 quick goals by Selvin Pererea one which was assisted by Jason Benitez. The Rangers then let up two goals and all of a sudden it was a game. The defense lead by Terrance Leigey in goal, regained their composure and the Rangers closed the game out with two more goals one by Frankie Theroux on a breakaway and the other by Nick Glancy, assisted from Jason Benitez off an indirect kick in the box. The boys worked hard and are confident going into their home Columbus day Tournament!
