The U10 Deer Park Rangers were home to play what would be the closest game they have played all season. The difference in this game was the goal tending abilities of Nicholas Glancy and the superb defensive effort given by the back three during the entire game. The lone goal came midway through the first half off a corner kick played in by Jason Benitez and cleaned up inside the 6 yard box by Terrance Liegey! Frankie Theroux had a chance to put the game away when he sparked the offense with about 8 minutes to go driving in on goal and cracking an incredible shot from the top of the box which hit the cross bar. Thirty seconds later the Rangers were awarded a penalty kick for a handled ball in the box by the opposition. Frankie was rewarded for his hard work on the previous play and stepped up to address the kick. Frankie struck the ball with power and unluckily the ball hit the same exact spot on the cross bar as it did 30 seconds earlier. The defense held off the barrage of shots from the opposition for the last five minutes as they struggled to clear the ball. They are now 3-0-0 and still unscored upon.
